ARTIST STATEMENT

Ten years ago, my life took a huge turn. I fell in love with my now-husband, and I had this incredible encounter with Jesus Christ that I’ll never forget. At the time, I didn’t really know how to build a relationship with Him, so I started exploring different spiritual practices. I tried Tibetan Buddhism for mental clarity, Yoga for daily meditation, Hindu myths to better understand Self and God, and Taoism to find harmony with nature. But despite all of this, I still felt disconnected from the religion I grew up with.

When I was 19, my devotion to yoga and my experience working with the marijuana plant—known in some traditions as a master plant—became a major catalyst for my spiritual awakening. These practices helped me feel deeply connected to my higher self and to God, and they ultimately led me back to Jesus, even though I didn’t know it at the time.

Fast forward to 29, something shifted again. I started praying to Jesus in a more real, vulnerable way, and He showed up. It wasn’t just about answering my prayers—He met me in my pain and started guiding me toward hope and healing. Around the same time, The Chosen gave me this new perspective on His life and message. It broke through all the noise and corruption I’d struggled with and let me see Him for who He really is.

This art collection is inspired by the mosaics in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC and the stained glass windows I’ve admired in churches along the East Coast. I love how the light hits the tiles and glass, showing the artist’s devotion and patience in creating something beautiful for God. In my work, I use window-like arches and bold, flowing lines to echo that stained glass effect. It’s my way of bringing together fragments of color and Spirit, just like how God takes all of our broken pieces and turns them into something whole and beautiful.

Each piece I create is designed for sacred spaces or as gentle reminders scattered throughout your home to support your meditation practice. In yoga, or really any spiritual practice, you can use images and statues as tools to concentrate on the divine in whatever form resonates with you. This practice, known as Tratak, helps create an imprint in the mind so that its essence stays with you even when the physical object is not present.

When we meditate on something—be it Jesus, Kuan Yin, or any deity or prophet—we start to connect with their energy. In that connection, insights and truths are revealed to us, lifting us to higher realms of understanding and deepening our relationship with God.

For me, life is about living with love—love for everything around us, for the people we serve, and for the ones we care for. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope this inspires you to connect with your own light and maybe even discover something new about yourself.
